Digital Scrapbooking Designing
Designing education is separate from the regular Subscriber Area (which is $5.50 a month reoccurring subscription). There are two designing options: 1. Designer Lessons. The designer lessons are available at any time for a six month subscription payment of $25. This is a self-paced class. New lessons are added occasionally. 2. Designer Mentoring. The mentoring area is open for three months at a time, when announced, and is a separate subscription payment of $20. You must be subscribed to the Designer Lessons to be able to participate in the mentoring. It is suggested to begin the Designer Lessons ahead of the mentoring to grow your skills before participating in the mentoring. In the designer mentoring, you will: A. Receive new information posted throughout the three month period. You will receive an email when new information is posted. Active participation is requested. B. Be given opportunities to post downloads for me to review and critique in order to grow your designing skills. C. Create a kit together for sharing to the public. TO SUBSCRIBE Once registered in the forum, please watch your email for an activation link. Thereafter, click on "settings" and scroll down the left sidebar and click on "Paid Subscriptions." Or click here. You will find the available options for subscribing to classes at Hummie's World. All subscriptions require Paypal. WELCOME There are many reasons why one might want to learn how to design digital scrapbooking elements and papers. Maybe you just want to save money by creating your own designs. Rather than always looking for a kit to fit your photos, create your own papers and elements to fit your photos. Maybe you just enjoy the creative side of designing and sharing with others. Maybe you have spied that glimpse of how easy designing really is now that you have gotten yourself familiar with Photoshop Elements and are wondering if you could make it as a designer. Maybe you have another related business, such as a photography or scrap for hire business, that requires you to create products that are copyright friendly. Whatever you reason for taking this class with me, I am happy to have you here and do hope that you learn not only skills for designing, but skills to enable your scrapbooking layouts.
WHERE DO I FIND WHAT I NEED IN THE FORUM? The links on the guide take you back to the forum where the video lesson or challenge is located and where you will post your lesson when you finish. Click on the "Set 1" link above to find the link to the first lesson. Credit to earn icons is not available at this time. You may work at your own pace. You may choose to start at the beginning and work through the lessons in order (suggested) or you may skip around. You are welcome to post your progress in the threads, using the gallery to upload previews (please use the "designer label) and post them in the threads. Your questions and discussions are welcomed. Quality check is available in the mentoring section of this class only, which is a separate cost. You will have the ability to post your work for me to download, quality check, and receive feedback. This service is not offered in the "designer lessons" area of the forum. Please come with a good attitude for learning as sometimes feedback is difficult.
GETTING FAMILIAR WITH THE FORUM I would suggest watching the help videos to familiarize yourself with Hummie's World. Especially watch the "Introduction to Classes" video. However, please remember that at this time, for these lessons, the crediting does not apply. The gallery help videos are also important to help you learn how to upload and how to post from the gallery to the forum. It is helpful for us to get to know you better by name if you add something that we can call you into your signature line. This can be found in “settings.” You may also change both the "avatar" and the "profile" image from the settings.
