Hello everyone!
It's the start of a new month, and we have a lot to tickle your fancy for the coming weeks here at Hummie's World and The Boomerang Store! We're also changing up the Newsletter a little bit, and hope you will like it! It may be a little shorter but there will be an extra update or two throughout the month.
Challenges
We have lots of lovely new challenges for you! And there are more to come as well! If you'd like to keep an eye out for new challenges, here's a link to them all in the forum.
This weekend, 6th/7th October we are holding our next Photo Walk. We'd love you to join in and then share the fruits of your bit of downtime and relaxation! Kim is preparing a freebie template for scrapping those photos as well!
Hummie has a great First To... challenge day coming up on 12th October. You can read all about it here; it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun! There will be a participation prize as well - details will be posted in the thread!
Nicole's Little Did I Know Challenge continues through October until our next Collab kit is released! So you still have plenty of time to create your ATC...don't forget to send the full size copy to Nicole ready for the end of this great challenge!
Tammy has a gorgeous free download for you to use in creating your October Desktop for her Deck Out Your Desktop challenge. Here's how Tammy used it - we look forward to seeing your new desktops!

And our weekly Photography Challenge takes the theme of coins for this week! This challenge will run until 9th October and we'd love to see lots of entries...maybe coins from all around the world?! Here's the thread for you to show us your photos once they're in the gallery!
STOP PRESS!! October 21-27 will officially be 'Hat Week' here at Hummie's World! Lots of fun to be had, snapping pics of ourselves wearing any kind of hat we can lay our hands on and scrapping those pics for everyone to see! We're hoping for lots of great fun layouts during the week! There are even little added challenges in the thread to encourage us in our hat wearing and scrapping...not to mention our digi stash shopping!!
Now for another announcement! This Friday, 5th October, will be the last Scrap and Chat Friday. However, fear not! There will be ample opportunities to chat during the month as we will be holding chats along with some of our challenges! The chat box will be open all this coming weekend (6th/7th October) for our Photowalk, and also for Hummie's First To... Day, and another chat will be announced for sometime during Hat Week!

Lee's newest kit, Thank You, is in store! As always, we love to see when you use our Designers' kits - please post in the thread as well as in the gallery so we can leave you some love!
Our gorgeous Collab. kit - Little Did I Know - is in store. We have had so many lovely comments about this collab, and it really is wonderful to see it being used on your pages!
Site Highlights
There's a new sample video that will show you how to make papers look hand cut...it's a great technique that can make such a difference to the look of a page! Please let us see in the thread if you use this technique on your pages, as we love to see learning in action!
There's also a great new video on sideways letters! A really unique look that is fun to do as well! Here's Hummie's page to show you, and here's the thread with the video!
