On Monday, Hubby fell down a steep hill at the golf practice range and landed on concrete on his shoulder, broke his collar bone, is in big pain whenever he moves and is still here with me in CA. I didn't want him to leave me but I didn't want him to be in this condition!! We spent hours and hours in the emergency room Monday night! Didn't get back until midnight--Belle must have thought we abandoned her! So he is sleeping on one of the new electric reclining chairs I bought and he spends most of the day in it.

• The collar bone has to heal on its own which can take 2-4 weeks. Then there's another 2 weeks for total recovery. We are counting our blessings, though, as he could have landed on his head.
