Do you take a picture with your pets or just your pet's picture?

I think I've done some of both. Sometimes we will set the camera up outside with a timer and get our dog in the photo with us.

Sometimes I just get her photo, but then again, that's hard too with the yellow camera dog eyes.

Have you ever paid a professional to include your pet in the photo?

If you are comfortable, share your photos and/or layouts.

Share any other thoughts about photography pets.

Must admit, I don't think that I have never actually had that problem.

The only professional photo I have of Misty is when we saw an ad to bring your pet to the pet store (forgot which one) and have their photo taken with Santa. I treasure that photo now.

I always took candid shots of Misty and also my cats. I never pose them. I like them in their natural settings.

Here's one of many layouts I did of Misty. I STILL miss her after 1 1/2 years!

And I FELL IN LOVE with this adorable puppy kit!!!

Here is me and Bailey in March 2008.
I had nobody to take the photo, so I put my Nikon D80 on a tripod and used the remote control (you can see it in my hand) to take the photo. It is sometimes
really tough to get good photos with pets because they never seem to want to look at the camera.
    This one was okay though.

I take photos of my dog, Belle, and my grand-dog, Layah, (Phoebe's dog) all the time! I've uploaded a lot of LO's with Phoebe and Layah and am working on a new one now. Here's a page with Belle. It was the final page in my 2010 flip calendar for the family. Here's a tip I learned from Hummie a long time ago in the Changing Colors Tutorial---use the color replacement brush tool to fix those yellow pet eyes. This doesn't always look natural but most of the time it does. It's worth trying to use a special photo.

unless you count the DH, I have no pets, LOL!!

DD1 was loaning a horse, which was a s closeto a pet as we've been recently, and I did take pics of her, DD2 and DH with the horse. Dont' think we have one of me with her though.

Once we move, we may be getting a kitten...I'm guessing that things will be very much the same...me behind the lens not in front of it, LOL!

I scrap my grand-dogs quite a lot, and also my retired thoroughbred racehorses. I also feed the magpies (does that make these birds pets?)

I take lots of pix of our pets - we're currently at the three dogs / three cats stage ... there's no room for us in the photos with that lot! I do have quite a lot of pix of Mr Mole with the dogs but as he seldom takes any photos, I don't think there are any featuring me and the cats/dogs.

Well, I got into digital scrapbooking doing pages of Chow Chows at a site where I moderate. Not to mention all my Pip and Lily layouts...and Kitsy Wu...I am usually not in any, though there are exceptions...lol.

Most of my photos of Cooper are either alone or with the grandkids. He won't always stay in pose for me! Probably should try to take some of hubby and I with him--he's been a faithful companion for 10 years!

We scrap our boxer by herself and with each of us.. If we're taking a picture and she happens to be there, then she's in the picture.. She's always by one of us..

It is obvious that we have a lot of pets, since every page I have posted has a pet in it. We take photos of just the pet or pet and people. I have had my daughter and her horse professionally photographed together.

I am not a pet person. So I thought. I am keeping my daughter's dog where she is during her annual training in the Navy. It is going to be sorta emotional when the dog goes home. I may take some pictures of the dog to put in the girls scrapbook.

I can rarely get a voluntary photo of my partner unless the dog is in the picture. I have some, but they are not very good. We got professional photos done at just about the time i started scrapping. Here are two LOs (combined for this):

We lost our dog some years ago and because we intended to travel around and retire abroad decided it would be unwise to have another one. How I miss having her around but friends of ours have 6 to look after so weget plenty of doggy kisses from them.
This lo is of Tessa standing up at the kitchen window, watching the world pass by, her favorite place.
