I am doing better today,
1.start by making a piece of vellum.
2.Then on a new layer type the text you want, and highlight it (marching ants) then use CTRL J to copy the vellum layer of text (you will move this to another area of the layout)
3. Now with the text still highlighted (marching ants) use the delete key to cut the vellum.
That is it, now you should have a piece of vellum that is cut text, and a piece that looks like the text was cut from it in 2 different areas of your layout, and don't forget your shadow.
Hi Charlene, I just saw your message. If you still need help I'll be happy to give it a try. I'm going to look at the lesson first to be sure I know exactly what you mean.
OK, found your layout, first thing I would do is change the background layer to wither the light blue or green that matches the dots in the upper paper. NOT Black. Next put a shadow on it to show that it is cut. That should help a lot. Then see what you can do to finish it. Hope this helps.
Sure thing, post one so that I can see it and I will see if I can help.
I'm sorry you've been having a stroke and heart problems. I hope your health returns.
Wishing you the best day ever for your birthday. Have a wonderful, wonderful day.
