I have done a horrible job keeping things organized, I'm afraid. I only have my kits sorted by kit name, not be designer or store, etc... I severely regret that now, but at the time, I wasn't aware of any method. I really need to get more organized, but I have soooooooooooooooooooooo much stuff!!!!!! I wouldn't even know where to begin

Window Live Photo
I really apprecaite your videos, they are very helpful. I see you have a folder called Digital Scrapbooking under the main category "All Photos and Videos". I'm trying to add a new folder for digital scrapbooking under this category, but it keeps adding it to the "Pictures" folder and I would like it in a seperate folder like you have. Can you tell me how you did this? Thanks.

Hummie,
Your Windows Live Photo Gallery tutorial was very helpful to me - I'm also using that program to organize my pictures and scrapbooking supplies. I noticed you had a folder called 'Digital Scrapbooking' under the main category "All Photos and Videos". I'm trying to add a new (root) folder for digital scrapbooking under this category, but it won't let me. It keeps adding it to the "Pictures" folder and I would like it in a totally seperate (root) folder like you have. Can you tell me how you did this? Thanks.

That is not a tag file.
That is an actual folder on my hard drive.
Right click and choose "Include a folder in the gallery" and navigate to where you have your digital scrapbooking supplies.
I did not include all of my folders, but rather certain ones, including my folder labeled digital scrapbooking and my folder for camera images.~Hummie

Thanks for that info. I was about to ask the same question! Such a lot of help at this site. Love it!

Thanks Hummie,
That answer was exactly what I needed and it worked for me! I was trying to 'Create a new folder' rather than 'Include a folder in the gallery'.
Now hopefully I can get more organized. Thanks!

I have ACDSee. I spent a lot of time on it organizing my stuff than I lost it all. My friend gave me PRO version so I can embed the info, but I haven't taken the time to reorganize.
I have a question. When I first started downloading kits I didn't always save enough info to give proper credit when I use it. Can I still post pages made with those kits and thank whoever made it or should I just not use those kits with pages I am going to post on the web? I would hate to not be able to use these awesome kits because of my ignorance at the time. Would appreciate your opinion. Thanks!

Yes, you can still post them. We all did that when we first started out. Just put a mention in the credits that you don't know because it was before you knew to keep track and to please let you know if you recognize it.~Hummie

Ok I have been taking a break from the Internet for the last 6 months. I still manage to scrapbook. The Internet service we have here is horrible. I mean for awhile I only had 5gs of Internet. So I had to quit downloading and watching Internet. We did finally found an unlimited Internet serve for our new home this last month. I miss DSL. We don't get it. Any way I have not organized my digi supply's in a year. My word my hd is a mess. So I'm going to take 2 weeks off from scrapbooking to back up and organizes. I love this place. I did miss coming here. I have lived in my new home for 6 months and my home still looks like I just moved in.

I have been useing ACDsee scence I started digital scrapbooking 3 years ago. Has it been that long. Any way I love it. My daugter likes Picasa manely because of the online picasa photo album and the stickers that you can add to your photo with out have to acculy scrap or open Photo shop elements. My daughter for digital scrapbooking will manly use scrapbook max the first version or somtimes photoshop elements. She manly use Picasa for her photos. Her scrapbooking stash is in scrapbook max or sometime she will use my hd for extras. My daughters are 12 and 8 and both love digital scrapbooking. My yougest daugher only uses scrapbook max to scrap photoshop elements is realy confusing to her. Scrapbook max is perfect for younger childrend and those who have now idea how to start. Thats the programs I started with. Now I only use photoshop elements. Its dosent take much to get me off trail dose it.

Hey! I remember you...love your ID.
So that's where you went too! I would have been frustrated with no internet, but it sounds like you dealt with it well. Glad to have you back.
I never have found time to tag.
I just have my folders organized by designer name and when I'm searching for something, I just search for it with the windows search and hope what I am looking for is in the title of the files themselves.~Hummie
