Decorative Pens
Angie Pederson shared this and I thought it would make great stocking or basket stuffers or even maybe a little something extra hung from a gift tag.
It would be easy enough to print anything on them, even names or special warm fuzzy notes!

Fun idea, easy to do, and if you really want to "wow" for a gift, you can easily use your digital stash to create personalized stationary and pens to match.Gina

That's a great idea....so how would you do the stationary? Just leave a large area of the paper blank? Or add lines?~Hummie

I have done it both ways, depending on the age of the person who will be using it. The prettiest way to do it for an adult is to use a background paper, select a large section of the center with the rectangle tool, set for a large feather, cut and paste that piece as a new layer, then fade that layer. This way the edges are bolder, but the center is not plain, and yet it will not detract from the writing that goes over it.Gina

That makes sense ...easy enough to do too!
So, do you just buy special envelopes then?~Hummie

I print them. Most printers have a setting for envelopes and it is easy to do a border for around the edges of the front, and add the return addy if you want. I sometimes also flip them over and print the flap as well, with a matching pattern or solid color.Gina

And then you fold the paper? How do they seal? Or do you mean you print on the purchased ones?~Hummie

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I print on white envelopes, bought in bulk. Most of the time I use legal size, although I have done letter, as well as note card size.Gina
