Atc
Wingz asked me some more about ATC, Artist Trading Cards.
I'm pleased to tell about it, in fact that's my profession: I am the Dutch promotor of ATC.
Not that the profession exists, I made it up.
I love the thought behind ATC: making contact with people by means of Art.
Now I don't think my ATC's are real art.
I am a creative person, not an Artist.
But most people like what I make.
What I promote is that you can do anything with ATC, all techniques and/or materials are allowed.
The only thing that hŕs to be: the right format: 3,5 x 2,5 inch.
Since you can use anything, I tell people: try to be Original.
Don't make series of the same, use your imagination.
Every month I organise a swap, this month the theme is Butterfly.
Because I trade with every participant and by now I have 58, I will make about 60 different ATC's with a butterfly on it!
If you care to take a look at them:

I only have to put my own atc's on the site, will do that as soon as possible.
Any questions?

How do you store them if they are the physical kind?
What do people do with them if they are the digital kind?~Hummie

They are really physical, so you have to store them in the same 9-pocket pages as the baseball and Pokémon cards.
Because you cannot sell of buy ATC, I don't earn money with promoting it.
So I have a small internetshop where you can buy the 9-pocket pages and that sort of things.
What we do with ATC's: make them, trade and collect them, look at them now and then, get inspired by them.
The best part of ATC right for me now is make them... I have a little lack of space to store them!
I have 28 big folders and that contains about 16.000 atc's.
So at the moment I am not really trading: I give my atc's to my customers with each order.

WOW! There are so many and all different! Do you have another set with insects? My grandson just loves insects and knows a lot about them. He would love a collection of cards.

They are all different because I (as the host) demand that.
I try to promote to be original and use your imagination and most of my particapators are doing very well.
I don't have atc's with insects on it, and then: you have to make them first and then trade, they are not to be sold!
But maybe your grandson can make the atc for himself for his collection using little cards of 2,5 x 3,5 inch?
In shops where you can buy Pokémon cards, you could buy 9-pocket pages to put them in.

Just seen the ATC's on your site - they are gorgeous. I made my first ATC last week and am looking to make more, so it was good to see the sort of things other people do

Eh... why should you remove it?
Is that a rule I am not aware of yet?
I love your ATC and you can leave it here, so others can have a look at it! ;-)

No, I meant I would remove the link to where I got the ATC paper from if links like that aren't allowed! Glad you like the ATC card though
, thank you.

I'm not the boss here, but I think you can leave the link where it is!

Yes, one thing I love about Hummies World is that Hummie is very good about you leaving links. She wants you to leave links so if someone wants to buy the kit, paper, etc you used, they will know where you got it from.
Your ATCs are beautiful. I have made a few and enjoyed doing it.
