I always appreciate the contributions and participation of everyone at Hummie's World!

Your suggestions for a weekly theme would take that time thinking them up off of my shoulders.

What about 'Fall'? I love that time of the year, it means cooler weather, beautiful colors in our trees...it could be open to interpretation, ie., pumpkins, apples, pretty fall foliage, scarecrows, candy corn, etc.

Seasonal themes are a great idea I think. That could take care of 4 months out of the year Huumie! Anyway, I love posing my kids with pumpkins and haybales and taking photos of them.
Nancy, I love winter shots too, but sadly it never really looks like winter here unless we travel 2 hours up the mountain. But we do try to go up once or twice in the winter to enjoy the season! LOL

Oops! I just realized that the themes are to be weekly. So I guess four weeks out of the year! LOL Unless you wanted to say have different season catergories, ie., organic, people, places, things...I don't know, something like that.

Umm Fall would be difficult for the Aussies I think.. not much fall here. Although I did take some shots earlier in the year that might "fall' (LOL) into that category.

How about the usual suspects:

Sunsets
Sunrises

How about animals (not cats or dogs)

Yes, I want to be considerate of all hemispheres when choosing themes. That is why this first one was "trees" ...to include all seasons.

There are some good themes mentioned above that everyone can take photos of, such as sunset and sunrise, birds, and clouds.

When you suggest people and place, you need to think out of the box and get more creative with the suggestions. For instance, "tired people" or "hairstyles from the side" or "brick buildings" or "open windows."

We need themes that anyone can do anywhere.

How about "view from your kitchen window"?

"As seen from your child's point of view" (a photo taken by them!)

"I didn't do it!" (photos of someone being caught red handed"

I like how you zeroed in on the buildings, Hummie. Never thought of that. How about front doors or our entrance way.
