This week's theme is "clouds" (not sunset or sunrise please as we'll hit that another time).

I took this one last weekend too from the Illinois wine trail. I thought it was going to be too overexposed and I have another one with lower exposure, but this one turned out better than I thought. Just goes to show you that you never know until you get home, so do not delete!

I love the rays in your cloud shot. That's one shot I'm always working on to get. Here are a couple of my cloud photos. Clouds are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. These were taken on my way home from Plymouth.

Hummie to help you name the clouds in my photo... they are ~

1. Stratus ~ low-altitude cloud formation consisting of a gray horizontal layer with a relatively flat bottom

2. Cirrus ~ cloud forming wispy streaks at high altitude

3. Cumulonimbus ~ dark gray rain cloud

I took this from my front yard in 2006 when the red dust was coming from Egypt. It made the sky look surreal.
