Here's my old post on RSS readers.

I note at that time they were called "feaders" but because of Google Reader the name seems to have changed to "readers," sort of like "Kleenex" is used more than "tissues" now.

I used to use Bloglines until they shut down, but then they were reopened. I wonder what would happen if I logged in again there.

Most browsers now have readers, as well as Outlook if you like reading them like an email.

In 2006 when I wrote that article, RSS was a foreign thing to most people, but now it seems I do not need to explain what it is as much.

There's a great post I made in 2007 here on blog secrets (aka tips). I still use some of these tips. This was written at a time that communication was vital by blog hopping and commenting, which is not done as much anymore.

Another option once popular was Bloglovin.

I know some people have bookmarks/favorites and go through those on a regular basis.

So I logged into Bloglines and it has really changed! It's got a nice smooth interface to it now.

We need more to answer the poll. We have three different answers right now.

I use Google reader too ... but just don't have time and I always have 1000's of unread!

Some of them post a zillion times a day and sometimes I just click them all as "read".... such as mashable or the television ones.

How many blogs do you follow?

well, I am sure I follow quite a few blogs but unless I get an email in my inbox about new content, I rarely get the time to check them all over!

well I guess I could look via my blog, but it just doesn't occur to me coz other stuff just eats up my time first, LOL, but if I get an emnail (like I do from yours!) then I read it! So I suppose yes, really, that is the only way I keep up with blog posts from others! Is that bad ?!!!!!! x

I prefer to get emails.... so then I read them when someone posts something.....
