Hi guys...my name is Lorell and I hail from the land of tater tots and other such potato goodies...LOL! I'm a SAHM of four, and this year they are all in school full-time! I had a half-day kindergartener last year, and I must say that the half days nearly drove me crazy...

I've been scrapping for about 14 years, and started digi-scrapping about five years ago. I love it, and occasionally do a hybrid project, too.

So nice to meet you all!

Hi Lorrell. I remember the days of half day kindergarten. Oh. My. Goodness. One year I had one in kindergarten, one in nursery school 3 hours a day and a newborn. I barely remember that year, lol. I'm sure you will enjoy Hummie's World, all while learning tons Welcome and don't be a stranger in the chat threads

Ohhhh, Lorrell, I am right there with you on the half days! I take care of 2 grandchildren full time. One is in school full time and one was 1/2 days last year. Just broke up my whole day. So in 16 days they will both be in school full time!! WOOOT WOOOT! Then you and I will both have lots of time to spend at Hummies World---and you are going to love it here!!! WELCOME!!!!!

You guys are so friendly...thanks for the very warm welcome. Hummie, I'm following Jen Martakis here...I'm on her CT and I was happy to hear that you have a site. I've watched some of your YouTube videos and really liked them. You are a great teacher!

Nancy...I'm glad to hear you will have a little more freedom. My kids are all just one year apart (currently the are 9,8,7 and 6...they are adopted...no way would I choose to have them this close), so I did the wretched half day thing with all four of them. When my dd, who's my oldest started kindergarten, I still had my three boys at home, and my youngest was a toddler. When my next oldest started, I had to make three trips up to the school each day, and I thought they'd have to ship me off to the loony bin. The younger boys hated walking up there all those times, and someone was always crying. Last year wasn't terrible only because my older three kids could walk home on their own...so I only had to drop everyone off at school and then go pick up my youngest when he got out at noon. It was so hard to get anything done, though...I really had to run hard to get all my errands done during that time if I didn't want to take kids with me. It was like running a marathon...LOL!

Kudos to you my friend! Four chldren, one year apart--I would definitely be in the loony bin!! I have been taking care of Cohen and Jameson pretty much since they were born so I am really looking forward to 5 days a week with time to myself from 7 am to 3 pm. And they ride the bus so there is no driving! WOOT WOOT!!!! Although I do have to drive them to karate and dance 4 times a week. By the way---LOVED seeing your layout in the gallery. That was definitely one precious moment!
